Waste and Recycling - Domestic Bin Collection
In January 2012 Dublin City Council awarded the contract for the collection and disposal of domestic waste and recycling materials in the city to Greyhound Recycling. A calendar showing the Greyhound collection days in Terenure for black and green bins appears below. Please note that Greyhound brown bins are collected on the same days as their black bins.
Note: Bin collections for all companies in Terenure area are on Monday.
Thorntons (from August 2019) collect black
bins on Greyhound green bin days, and green/brown bins on Greyhound black bin days.
City Bin collect black bins the same day as Greyhound, and brown and green bins on Greyhound green bin days.
Residents are however at liberty to "opt out" from Greyhound and use an alternative licensed waste collector instead. Contact details of some alternative companies appear below. Each has its own charging structure and it is recommended that you study their individual price plans and customer policies carefully before making any changes.
